What does a session with you feel like?
It depends! Film offers a unique texture, depth, and produces colors that are difficult to replicate digitally. That said, film isn’t necessary for every session. Digital photography still creates beautiful, honest images. Film is simply an option if you’re drawn to its look, character, and process.
What does a session with you feel like?
Relaxed and low-pressure. I use gentle prompts instead of stiff poses and let moments unfold naturally. There's no pressure to “perform." My main priority is that you feel confident, comfortable, and are having fun! .
I’m awkward in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Me too! Most people are. My job isn’t to make you pose perfectly, it’s to help you feel at ease. I use gentle prompts rather than rigid poses, guiding you into natural movement and interaction. We move slowly, talk, listen to music if you want, and let the photos happen in between.
What should I wear?
Wear something you feel comfortable in. Neutral tones and simple outfits tend to photograph well, but the most important thing is that it feels like you.
How long does it take to get the photos back?
Turnaround time is typically within 2-4 weeks. You’ll receive your gallery as soon as it’s ready.
Do you provide Raw (unedited) images?
RAW images are not included. All delivered images are carefully edited to reflect my style and the final look of your session.
Is film photography available?
Yes—film is available as an add-on for any session.
How many images will I receive?
Each session includes a set number of edited images depending on the package you choose, with the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. Sessions are booked with a straightforward contract. A contract helps to make sure we’re on the same page and to keep the process easy and stress-free.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit of 30% your chosen package price is required at the time of booking to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due prior to or on the day of your session.
Can I choose the location?
Yes—you’re welcome to choose a location that feels meaningful, or I can suggest options based on what you’re looking for. You can also view some ideas in my location guide [here].
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes. I’m based in Maryland and frequently photograph sessions in Washington, DC and surrounding areas. Travel is included within ~25 minutes of Clarksville, Maryland. Locations beyond that, including most DC sessions, may include a small travel fee to account for time, distance, and parking.
