Do you shoot on film or digital?
I shoot both. For most photo sessions, I photograph digitally to ensure consistency and flexibility. Film is available as an add-on and must be requested in advance, as it requires additional planning and processing time.
What does a session with you feel like?
It depends! Film offers a unique texture, depth, and produces colors that are difficult to replicate digitally. That said, film isn’t necessary for every session. Digital photography still creates beautiful, honest images. Film is simply an option if you’re drawn to its look, character, and process.
What does a session with you feel like?
Relaxed and low-pressure. I use gentle prompts instead of stiff poses and let moments unfold naturally. There's no pressure to “perform." My main priority is that you feel confident, comfortable, and are having fun! .
I’m awkward in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Me too! Most people are. My job isn’t to make you pose perfectly, it’s to help you feel at ease. I use gentle prompts rather than rigid poses, guiding you into natural movement and interaction. We move slowly, talk, listen to music if you want, and let the photos happen in between.
How many photos will I receive?
A 30-minute session includes a minimum of 15 edited images. I focus on quality and intention over quantity, delivering a curated set that reflects the feeling of the session. Additional images can be purchased if you’d like to expand your gallery.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. Sessions are booked with a straightforward contract. A contract helps to make sure we’re on the same page and to keep the process easy and stress-free.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit of $40 is required at the time of booking to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due prior to or on the day of your session.
Can I choose what I wear?
Absolutely. What you wear should feel like you. I’m always happy to offer guidance or suggestions if you want them, but you’re never required to wear anything that feels uncomfortable or inauthentic. Comfort and confidence matter most!
Can I choose the location?
Yes. You’re welcome to choose a location that feels meaningful to you. I’m also happy to suggest spots based on the mood you’re drawn to, the light, and how you want the session to feel. Travel is included within 30 miles of Columbia, MD. Travel beyond this requires an additional fee of $0.70 per mile round-trip.
